I went to Hemsley Town Hall to learn Greek danceing and music.
We danced in groups and pair. We stomped "give me your bicycle!"
I really enjoyed the mirror danceingwhich we did in pairs, following each others hands.
Everyone played an instrument, I played the spoons! I leant some Greek too.
It was a fantastic and enjoyable day!

Discovery Visit with English Heritage – A monks life at Rievaulx – June 2007
We were greeted by Brother Anthony who was to be our guide round Rievaulx. We started our discovery visit in the education room where we were shown mock up photgraphs of what the abbey would have looked liked 875 years ago.

We sat in the church area and heard about how Rievaulx was lucky to escaped the worst of Henry VIII wrath as it was so remote and after years of financial difficulties, plague and famine only had very few monks.

Our tour guide was taken aback at the amount and variety of questions the children asked and also the knowledge they already had.

We headed back to the education centre afterwards to be presented with our pilgrim badges as the visitors 800 years ago would have been given and some of our children agreed to fill in a survey about their visit.

All in all I think everyone enjoyed the visit and a lot of new things were learned even by the parents.
