Located near Bagby, near Thirsk, Monk Park Farm is known for it’s wallabys but it was the being able to participate in feeding the animals that made the visit more enjoyable for us.
It is £4.00 a person, with no concessions and is well used by local schools for day trips and as we rolled up there were 2 buses. There are two pet lamb feeding sessions a day but if the schools are there, the chances of getting a go in the morning session of feeding the lambs is virtually nil and I would suggest delaying a visit until afternoon. We turned up at lunchtime and made use of the cafe which for a tourist cafe we thought it was very reasonable. You can buy food bags from reception for 50p each to feed the animals. We enjoyed feeding the ducks and goats best.
Monk Park Farm is well worth a visit for younger children
